Volunteers

Volunteers are a valued part of our school community. Their time is greatly appreciated by students and staff alike. Their service provides extra support and enrichment in the classroom and enhances the overall school community.

Volunteer Qualifications

School volunteers must have current TB clearance on file in the school office. TB clearance is valid for four years. Volunteers may also be asked to provide fingerprint clearance from the FBI. FBI clearance is valid for the duration of volunteer service. There will also be a mandatory (brief) volunteer in‐service at the beginning of each school year. Volunteers who are unable to attend the in‐service will be asked to meet briefly with the principal to review volunteer information before serving in the classroom.

We ask that volunteers seek childcare for younger siblings before volunteering in the classroom. We want to minimize distraction in the classroom.

Volunteers wishing to drive on a field trip must have a valid driver’s license, proof of adequate insurance, and a signed release on file with the office.
